Rockwell Collins develops new ARC-210 smart mount for Iridium® SATCOM integration - February 21, 2018

Rockwell Collins has developed a smart mount that will provide users of the ARC-210 networked communications airborne radio with added SATCOM capability through the Iridium® network. Accessing Iridium's network of 66 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, users are able to maintain true global coverage, including polar regions, while simultaneously maintaining full use of the ARC-210 radio’s standard capabilities.

Rockwell Collins announces 2017 Engineer of the Year recipients - February 19, 2018

Rockwell Collins has selected three employees as the company’s 2017 Corporate Engineers of the Year. The recipients are Angelo Joseph, a principal systems engineer in Commercial Systems; Adriane Van Auken, a principal systems engineer in Government Systems; and Frédéric Trincal, a principal systems engineer in International & Service Solutions.

Rockwell Collins announces a new ADS-B Out certification covering 32 unique aircraft models - February 19, 2018

Rockwell Collins’ ADS-B Out Part 23 approved model list supplemental type certificate (AML-STC) has received approval by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This path includes the latest TDR-94/94D Mode S Transponder variant to help aircraft owners meet the rapidly approaching mandate. This certification covers 32 unique aircraft models from Textron Aviation and M7 Aerospace.

Rockwell Collins’ ARC-210 RT-2036(C) becomes first airborne radio to pass ‘Do No Harm’ testing for MUOS SATCOM - February 14, 2018

Rockwell Collins has carved another place in military communications history by developing the first airborne V/UHF radio that meets the military security requirements for operation with the Department of Defense’s (DoD) new Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). The testing, known as Do No Harm (DNH), was performed on the ARC-210 RT-2036(C) by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). The sixth generation ARC-210 is the only airborne radio on the market to have completed testing using the most current MUOS waveform.
