Alan J. Prowse is the vice president and managing director for the Americas business of Rockwell Collins. Prowse is the senior executive for the Americas region and a key member of the company’s International Business organization, which was created in 2008 to further increase its focus on customers outside the United States. In this role, Prowse is specifically responsible for achieving the full potential of the company and overseeing all of its operations in Canada and Latin America

Prowse, who is a 27-year employee of Rockwell Collins, has held several positions in business development & program management prior to his current role. Prior to his current role, Prowse served as senior director of Sales and Business Development Operations where he was responsible for the pursuit and orders capture of new business for Government Systems with a combined order intake of around $3B a year.

A native of the United Kingdom, Prowse came to the United States in 1999; he is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and has been a citizen of the United States of America since 2007. Prowse has an HNC in Electronic Engineering from the University of Reading, he also holds ONC’s in Computer Science and Telecommunications

Prowse is a member of the following organizations: Ex-chairman of the Defense and Security Task Force of the Brazil United States Business Council, Member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Navy League and on the Board of Directors of the Marion Economic Development Company and Iowa-Illinois NDIA Chapter.
