The new 6.6 mile LA Expo Line extension, which opened on May 20th, is part of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (Metro) ambitious plan to draw people out of their cars and onto public transportation. For the first time since the 1950s, passengers using the Metro rail system can travel between downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.
