AOC-A380 Aircraft Operational Communication
The Rockwell Collins AOC-A380 is the data link Airline Operational Communication (AOC) application, designed for the Airbus A380 and hosted in the Network Server Systems (NSS). It is fully compatible with existing ground systems configurations.Two system elements run on NSS (out of avionics domain) to make up the AOC: the core software, provided either by Rockwell Collins as seller supplied buyer furnished equipment (SSBFE) or by Airbus as basic seller-furnished equipment; and a database. Airbus defines and provides the standard database as SSBFE. It meets most airlines’ AOC needs. Features include free text and “Out-Off-On-In” management. We can provide you with a customized database as defined by your individual airline. This buyer-furnished equipment is built using the GSE-A380.The AOC-A380 provides operational commonality with our other AOC applications on DLM/CMU-900 and Airbus air traffic services units.
