ETC-4000 Radio Management System

Overview

The ETC-4000 from Rockwell Collins offers you a flexible centralized system for the management of aircraft radio communication and radio navigation. By using a proven homogeneous Human Machine Interface (HMI), the ETC-4000 decreases crew workload and increases mission effectiveness. It works by allowing the user to tune and select operation modes for all military and civil radio communication, radio navigation and other mission equipment such as Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) and cryptography. It also controls various kinds of ARINC 429 and non-ARINC 429 equipment. Composed of one or two night vision imaging system radio tuning units, it offers one multifunction processing unit required to interface non-ARINC-429 equipments.

You can customize the ETC-4000 by updating software and/or adding selecting hardware interfaces to meet your operational requirements. The ETC can manage up to 20 pieces of equipment.
