Commercial simulation displays

Supplying more cross-cockpit out-the-window displays for commercial applications than any other company, Rockwell Collins offers a broad range of optical configurations and projector options to satisfy all levels of certification, up to the most demanding Level D requirements.

The majority of simulator manufacturers use Rockwell Collins displays to ensure they are able to satisfy all regulatory standards up to the highest FAA and JAR levels of certification. Not only new builds, but also upgrades are supplied.

Military simulation displays

Military simulation demands the highest level of fidelity and reliability and Rockwell Collins' displays are recognized as the benchmark for this market segment.

We make displays with large fields of view, high brightness and resolution, with seamless projection. Our systems are accurate, motion compatible and designed for compact application and portability.. Full field-of-regard or partial domes, real image or collimated displays, and various projector types are all part of the Rockwell Collins product offering. Advanced optical configurations and specialist manufacturing materials ensure that these products achieve the optimum visual performance.

Our solutions also have options for night vision goggle (NVG) compatibility, the provision of high resolution targets, and head-up displays (HUDs).

Fast jet

The selection of Rockwell Collins for the F-35 Lightning II out-the-window display program reinforces our leading industry position in military display solutions. This system can be adapted for any type of cockpit, allowing us to produce displays for every form of fast jet.

Wide-bodied fixed-wing

Rockwell Collins has experience creating and delivering display systems for air-to-air refueling, cargo, reconnaissance and other wide bodied aircraft applications. Both collimated and non-collimated options are available.

Rotary wing

Rockwell Collins Panorama is the only display to date to have repeatedly achieved helicopter Level D certification under FAA document AC120-63. Both collimated and non-collimated options are available.

Other simulation displays

Air Traffic Control and Marine applications have similar requirements such as large field-of-view, multiple channels, high resolution and bright images. Rockwell Collins has a range of solutions to satisfy these requirements, with flexibility of screen size and shape, different projector solutions and high performance distortion correction capability to ensure an optimum configuration.

Having supplied over 50 systems for truck driving applications, Rockwell Collins' front projected-domes and collimated displays offer flexibility in approach to meet both performance and budget challenges.
