Midas is a wide-angle collimator (WAC) window display system, designed around a single eyepoint, that provides a compact,
cost-effective display solution for flight simulator and ground vehicle applications. The display is collimated, using a spherical
mirror to view the image on a Digital Projection Monitor at optical infinity.
Each display system comprises a high performance monitor, an optical quality beamsplitter and a precision front-surfaced collimating
mirror. These basic components are located in a rigid mechanical structure, designed for use on a simulation motion platform.
Midas WAC-Window Display Systems are available in different configurations to enable them to be positioned around the simulated
cockpit or cab, and the range includes options for chin windows. Non-juxtaposed, juxtaposed and zero gap configurations are
available, the latter meeting CAA, FAA and JAR standards.
