The first commercial Full Flight Simulator delivered by Rockwell Collins was a Level D Cessna C-208B Caravan for Pan Am International
Flight Academy in Memphis, Tenn. This FFS is utilized to train Caravan pilots including FedEx Express feeder line crews. This
device was FAA qualified in December 1999. The Simulation Host operates under real-time LINUX on a Pentium COTS processor.
The Instructor Operator Station software operates under Windows NT 4.0. The visual system is CAE Maxvue Plus, the digital
6-axis motion system is the CAE Series 600 and the control loading is Fokker Digital Electric.
