Rockwell Collins' proven and innovative open architecture solutions help support the most technologically advanced vessels and disadvantaged platforms for U.S. and allied nation maritime units. Our communications, navigation and networking capabilities help expand mission effectiveness for these surface and sub-surface platforms.

Rockwell Collins' versatile and robust communications solutions provide users the means for net-enabled situational awareness across a variety of platforms. With our evolving communications capabilities, including the established ARC- 210 radios, our systems continue to meet the new and demanding tactical and technical needs across surface fleets. Additionally, Rockwell Collins' navigation solutions have been an anchor for the services' requirements for secure, high integrity, anti-jam Global Positioning System (GPS) position, navigation and timing capabilities.

To enable connectivity across multiple maritime domains, Rockwell Collins provides networking solutions that are robust, scalable and extensible. We help expand a user's bandwidth with our Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT) and Subnet Relay (SNR) that provide peer-to-peer information exchange and are mobile, self-forming and ad hoc. We also offer our TacNet™ system, which is a small form factor data link that equips disadvantaged users with a needed and affordable Link 16 capability. Furthermore, the Rockwell Collins Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) Soldier Digital Assistant (SDA) has demonstrated potential for service as a situational awareness tool and blue force tracker for small boat operations supporting Maritime Domain Awareness, Visit Board Search and Seizure and amphibious ship-to-shore movement. In our joint venture with BAE Systems, Data Link Solutions, LLC (DLS), the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) on Ship was developed, which continues to proliferate across both the cruiser and destroyer fleets.

Rockwell Collins continues to explore and expand our maritime capability offerings for shipboard applications, including adapting our proven DF-430 direction finder to Coast Guard cutter surface operations.
