Continuing our commitment to provide warfighters with secure Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence
(C4I) solutions, Rockwell Collins offers experience in communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, as well
as, evolving Cryptographic Modernization expertise. Working closely with the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department
of Defense's (DoD) Information Assurance offices, we are committed to ensuring that our programmable Type-1 cryptographic
devices address the critical Crypto Modernization requirements that support future secure communications, navigation and data
link capabilities for the warfighter.
Janus Cryptographic Engine
The Janus Crypto Engine is based on our AAMP7G microprocessor. AAMP7G has been certified by the National Security Agency (NSA)
as a Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) device capable of processing Top Secret through Unclassified data. Janus
is certified as NSA Type 1 high-assurance cryptographic equipment. As an embeddable, multi-channel device, Janus provides
advanced cryptographic capabilities. It offers a smaller, lighter weight solution that requires less power while maintaining
complete user programmability and can support multiple cryptographic algorithms, including both modern and legacy.
Janus complies with the NSA Information Assurance Directorate (IAD) Cryptographic Modernization Initiative Policy 3-9 while
providing the high-speed encryption and decryption of digital voice and data applications.
Rockwell Collins' Janus is currently being embedded into weapons systems and secure communication systems providing its unique
capability to physically separate and simultaneously process multiple algorithms. Janus is an important building block in
the development of a fully modern cryptographic system.
Crypto Sub-Systems (CSS) In order to enhance commonality, reduce customer cost and speed certification, Rockwell Collins offers a number of Cryptographic
Sub-Systems (CSS) that are Janus and non-Janus based. Our Janus-based CSS applications include the proven ARC-210 GEN5 and
TacNet™ systems. The ARC-210 meets the increasing need for more effective, reliable, secure communications in both the tactical
and air traffic control environment. The Rockwell Collins TacNet™ data link system is specifically designed to support weapons
systems to enable in-flight target updates, retargeting, weapon handover coordination, bomb impact assessments and increased
ad hoc networked situational awareness.
Please contact Rockwell Collins for more information on all of our Cryptographic Capabilities.
