For decades, Rockwell Collins has been committed to providing customers with protected Satellite Communications (SATCOM) capabilities
by seamlessly integrating rapid technology advancements into products for all the services. We pride ourselves in continuing
to develop SATCOM terminal enhancements that increase throughput and meet the critical Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) requirements of
users.
Rockwell Collins has been a pioneer in developing and fielding certified Extreme High Frequency (EHF) protected Military Strategic
and Tactical Relay (MILSTAR) SATCOM terminals. As a recognized leader in this field, we provide our customers with full service
design, development, test and manufacturing for today's sophisticated protected MilSATCOM terminals. Our competencies include
MILSTAR system design and modem development, EHF and Advanced EHF (AEHF) waveform software development, AEHF satellite simulators,
as well as MILSTAR / AEHF terminal integration and testing. Additionally, we have the capability to provide programmable information
security, Radio Frequency Groups, Operator Interface Groups, data set managers and T-SAT terminal architectures.
Building on these competencies, Rockwell Collins continues to develop and expand our SATCOM offerings. Our legacy in MilSATCOM
dates back to the early 1970's where we supplied the AFSATCOM system to the U.S. Air Force. It continued through the 1980's
with our participation in the design and development of EHF airborne and ground command posts for command and control of the
U.S. strategic nuclear force. Our Single Channel Anti-jam Man-Portable (SCAMP) terminal now enables warfighters to communicate
worldwide through secure, jam-resistant, covert communication links that support voice, data and imagery. We've also teamed
with industry leaders to help develop programs such as the next-generation Family of Advanced Beyond-Line-of-Sight Terminals
(FAB-T) and the Ground Element Minimum Essential Emergency Communications Network (MEECN) System (GEMS).
