The Mirage 2000 is a frontline fighter serving in the French, UAE, Egyptian, Greek, Indian, Peruvian, and Taiwanese Air Forces.
Rockwell Collins, supporting Miltech Hellas SA in Greece, is under contract to provide the HDD-55L for Greece's Mirage 2000.
The HDD-55L program replaces the Hellenic Air Force's Mirage 2000 current Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)-based Head Down Display (HDD).
The HDD-55L uses the technology developed for the Rockwell Collins F-15 Flat Panel Color Display (FPCD). The 5x5 FPCD uses
a military avionics Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMCLD), which includes sunlight readability and high resolution
with excellent contrast and uniformity. These features provide the pilot with optimal performance when used to display critical
mission and situational awareness information.
The Rockwell Collins and Miltech Hellas SA's joint development solution offers worldwide Mirage 2000 customers a viable alternative
for current CRT displays and can be replaced individually or as part of an avionics upgrade.
Please contact Rockwell Collins for more information.
