Wireless

Rockwell Collins' secure, robust and cost-effective wireless communication solutions cover short- to mid-range voice, video and data that can dramatically expand and enhance a network's infrastructure. Our Wireless Point-to-Point Link (WPPL) allows you to expand network connectivity through a high-speed wireless connection without incurring the expense of satellite bandwidth. The WPPL provides point-to-multipoint, Line-Of-Sight (LOS) and Near-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) wireless communications capabilities over 30 miles. Its modular design is flexible and scalable to meet your unique needs.

Baseband Solutions

Our baseband solutions optimize communication networks by integrating both new and existing communications equipment such as routers, accelerators, encryptors, encoders, and computer equipment. Configured in scalable, modular and expandable packages, our baseband solutions enable the establishment and maintenance of sophisticated communications wherever your location. Our specialized, end-to-end baseband solutions encompass voice, video, data and storage, allowing you to meet all of your network challenges through a single provider.

Rockwell Collins' baseband solutions are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet the unique and changing requirements of your application. We work closely with you to build a custom solution that supports all aspects of an operation - from a large system for a command and control network, to a small system for expeditionary missions.

Ka Band Upgrade Kits

Using Ka band, the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) system provides the U.S. military with critical communication links that enable users to transmit and receive digital-quality voice, data and imagery while eliminating the recurring cost of satellite airtime. The Ka band system provides operational flexibility and delivers the needed capacity, connectivity and control to support demanding operational conditions-all at a significant cost savings.

Recognizing the importance of Ka band communications, Rockwell Collins provides Ka band upgrade kits for several of our core solution offerings. These kits are specifically designed to augment existing systems that are already in the field. We have successfully passed the WGS pre-certification process for our Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT) and Deployable Ku and Ka Earth Terminal (DKET) Mobile systems, and can provide you with immediate Ka Band operation upon incorporation of the kit.

IP Accelerator

Rockwell Collins' Satellite Communications Protocol Standards (SCPS)-compliant IP accelerator Performance Enhancement Proxy (PEP) provides a simple, smart approach to enhancing the performance of your network. Our IP accelerator ensures faster, more reliable communications by minimizing the effects of latency and bit-error rates frequently encountered when sending Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) traffic over satellite links and other stressed network connections. Optimizing your existing bandwidth with the IP accelerator saves time, enhances effectiveness and reduces cost associated with procuring additional bandwidth. As a result, network response times and reliability are improved to support greater volumes of data and the larger file sizes associated with video applications.
