Today's battlespace conditions demand greater mobility and agility. Rockwell Collins' Single Channel Anti-jam Man-Portable
(SCAMP) terminal enables the warfighter to communicate worldwide via secure, jam-resistant, covert communication links supporting
voice, data and imagery. SCAMP is the U.S. Army's only man-portable, battery operated terminal that can operate with MILSTAR
(LDR). The SCAMP terminal capabilities are also planned to be extended to the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) waveforms.
The SCAMP terminal features Internet Protocol (IP) addressable networking capability, where time-sharing of satellite resources
provides efficient use of satellite bandwidth and supports the IP Quality of Service (IPQoS) capabilities.
Embedded Communications Security/ Transmission Security (COMSEC/TRANSEC) devices eliminate the need for external crypto devices
for simplified field operations including key management capabilities. The SCAMP can be remotely controlled from distances
of up to 500 feet and weighs less than 44 pounds, including the transit case. Fast set-up and tear-down add to the terminal's
ease of use.
