With solutions that range from small, highly-portable terminals to large fixed teleports, Rockwell Collins' satellite earth
terminals are integral to some of the world's most vital communication networks. Our satellite earth terminals can be found
on the U.S. Army's Joint Network Node (JNN) and the U.S. Marine Corp's Support Wide Area Network (SWAN) program. All of our
satellite earth terminals are supported by Rockwell Collins' life-cycle support services and powerful MaxView® software for
network automation and control.
miSAT-X
The miSAT-X is an ultracompact earth terminal that provides the special operations community and other forward-deployed personnel
with a highly portable solution to quickly establish secure voice, video and data communications virtually anywhere, at any
time. Packed in a single case and weighing less than 40 lbs, the miSAT-X is easily carried in one hand like a briefcase. The
terminal is small enough that it can be carried onto an airplane for overhead storage and can be easily transported in any
vehicle.
eSAT-RA2
Rockwell Collins' satellite earth terminals include the eSAT-RA2 system, a Combat Service Support (CSS) backwards-compatible
solution that uses the latest Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment for complete interoperability and backwards compatibility
with existing Department of Defense networks. The eSAT-RA2 is a compact, highly-portable, one-button satellite acquisition
earth terminal providing you with the connectivity needed to run voice, video and data applications.
VSAT Fly-Away Solutions
Our VSAT Fly-Away solutions include small, portable multi-band and Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS)-compatible satellite terminals
to quickly establish secure voice, video and data communications virtually anywhere, any time. These solutions are mounted
in function-oriented transit cases that are transported in a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) size vehicle
or helicopter to establish communication links where no infrastructure exists, including areas too remote for larger earth
terminals. With a rapid set-up and tear-down design, the Fly-Away system enhances mobility and minimizes exposure in vulnerable
positions throughout your mission.
Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT)
The Rockwell Collins Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT) is a combat-proven, towable earth terminal designed to establish
secure voice, video and data communications anywhere in the world. In order to withstand the challenging conditions and demanding
operations of today's forces, this solution is a rugged, compact, trailer-based terminal that delivers up to 56 Mbps throughput
and can be towed or lifted anywhere. Our reliable STTs can be configured in a variety of ways to meet your unique needs. You
are also supported by our end-to-end support services and powerful MaxView® software for network automation and control.
DKET Mobile
The Deployable Ku band Earth Terminal (DKET) Mobile is a vehicle-based solution that provides secure, high-bandwidth, headquarters-quality
communications virtually anywhere, at any time. Designed to support interim outpost applications, the DKET Mobile combines
the power of a command and control center with the mobility of a full-size truck to provide secure, reliable communications.
The DKET Mobile is an adaptable solution that can be configured in a variety of ways to meet your unique needs. Proven in
theater after the fall of Baghdad, these vehicle-based earth terminals were deployed in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom. They are supported by Rockwell Collins' end-to-end support services and powerful MaxView® software for network automation
and control.
DKET, DKET LT
The Rockwell Collins Deployable Ku band Earth Terminal (DKET) delivers secure, reliable communications anywhere you need to
establish network connectivity. Engineered for reliability and flexibility in rugged environments, the DKET is built for remote
and field locations. Its large, two-piece configuration, consisting of the antenna and shelter, is designed for military air
transport. The control shelter protects the equipment from harsh field conditions and the flexible design allows the baseband
equipment and control shelter to operate up to 45 kilometers away from the antenna site. Rockwell Collins DKETs have been
deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and in Europe.
The DKET LT establishes network-hub connectivity where no infrastructure exists. A self-contained, single-skid earth terminal,
the DKET LT is designed to deliver secure, reliable communications anywhere the mission demands. Easily transportable on a
flatbed truck, it enables headquarters capabilities on the battlefield in just hours.
Both the DKET LT and the DKET are supported by Rockwell Collins' end-to-end support services and powerful MaxView® software
for network automation and control.
