Rockwell Collins is also integrating our CAAS solution into the U.S. Marine Corp (USMC) CH/MH-53E fleet, enabling the heavy-lift helicopters to be compatible with communications, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management (CNS/ATM) requirements. The primary mission of the USMC CH/MH-53E is to move cargo and equipment, sometimes transferring troops in an amphibious assault. It has also been used to recover downed aircraft, sweep mine areas and, at times, tow distressed ships.
