Simplifying control and reducing pilot workload are the goals behind the development of the Rockwell Collins RTU-4200 Radio Tuning Unit. Instead of a collection of individual control heads, the RTU-4200 combines logical and intuitive functions to provide a centralized control point for all COMM/NAV and ATC equipment functions.

To ensure clear viewing in all flight deck lighting conditions, the RTU-4200 features a bright, easy-to-read active-matrix, full-color liquid crystal display. It also has ergonomically designed line and function keys, as well as specially-designed rotary tuning knobs for fast and accurate tuning, component selection and management.
