The Rockwell Collins HFS-900D HF Data Radio provides the Air Transport industry with a low-cost, long-range data link system for fleets operating in oceanic, polar and remote land areas. When paired with the Rockwell Collins CPL-920D Digital Antenna Coupler, the HFS-900D high frequency data link (HFDL) system provides the high reliability system needed for HFDL applications.

In addition, Rockwell Collins HFDL can be paired with a single satellite communications (SATCOM) system to provide maximum data link communication availability. Because these two systems have different propogation characteristics and link failure modes, HFDL and SATCOM systems together provide a 99.8% availability, meeting FAA's air traffic management (ATM) requirement.
