Rockwell Collins Aviation Services signs IFE maintenance agreement with Virgin Atlantic Airways
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (December 01, 2003) - Rockwell Collins Aviation Services has signed an agreement to perform on-board maintenance of in-flight entertainment (
IFE
) systems for Virgin Atlantic Airways.
The three-year agreement calls for Collins Aviation Services (CAS) to provide total IFE support for the airline’s fleet of
Airbus A340 and Boeing 747 aircraft featuring the Collins APAX 150i system. The agreement provides services for flights from
London
Heathrow
Airport
, as well as some flights out of
London
Gatwick
Airport
, and includes installation, repair, operations, logistics, supply chain management and administrative support.
CAS Senior Vice President and General Manager Harry Gregory said, “We are pleased to support the success of Virgin Atlantic
