Vision Systems International, LLC, receives Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award

SAN JOSE, Calif. (April 01, 2009) - Vision Systems International, LLC (VSI) today announced that it has received a 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. VSI maintained a Silver performance composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2007, to Sept. 30, 2008.

This year, Boeing recognized 411 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. VSI is among 325 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition.

"It is truly an honor for VSI to be selected for the silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award" says VSI President Drew Brugal. "This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our employees and suppliers to provide a quality on-time product to Boeing. With more than 3,000 systems delivered to the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and air forces of 19 countries, the JHMCS has proven to be an invaluable asset to warfighters around the world."

The system has been operational in the F/A-18, F-15 and F-16 since 2002 and is combat proven. The JHMCS provides the pilot with "first look, first shot" high off-boresight weapons engagement. Critical information and symbology, such as targeting cues and aircraft performance parameters, are graphically displayed directly on the pilot's visor.

Formed in 1996, VSI, is a joint venture between Elbit Systems of America, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT), and Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL). VSI was formed to develop, manufacture and support fixed wing Helmet Mounted Displays (HMDs) worldwide. VSI today is the leading supplier of fixed-wing HMDs worldwide.
