Emirates selects Rockwell Collins Airshow 4200D for Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s

DUBAI (November 12, 2007) - Emirates Airline has selected Rockwell Collins to provide its Airshow 4200D Moving Map and Flight Information System for the airline's Boeing 777 and A380 fleet.

"The selection of our newest moving map product for Emirates' 777 fleet, and for the 55 A380s it has ordered, will give passengers the ability to track their flight on high definition maps in digital widescreen formats."

The Airshow 4200D is the most recent addition to the Rockwell Collins Airshow Moving Map family, incorporating a new digital video interface, designed specifically to take advantage of the latest generation of inflight entertainment (IFE) systems. The new interface provides a true, all-digital display, omitting the limitations common with analog video signals and real-time analog-to-digital encoders.

In addition to the new digital video output, Airshow 4200D now offers the choice to display in a native widescreen format. Passengers enjoy a truly widescreen experience of their flight's progress, along with all the popular Airshow 4200 features.
