Bombardier selects Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion for Global jet family avionics
ATLANTA (September 24, 2007) - In a win that marks its debut in long-range and ultra long-range business jets, Rockwell Collins announced it has been selected
as the avionics systems integrator for Bombardier's Global Express XRS* and Global 5000* aircraft. This also marks the debut
of Pro Line Fusion™, a new avionics offering featuring the most advanced flight deck technology available.
The announcement was made today at the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) 60th Annual Meeting and Convention
in Atlanta.
"We are honored to have been selected to apply Pro Line Fusion to Bombardier's flagship business jet and view this as a continuation
of a long relationship built on trust," said Denny Helgeson, vice president and general manager of Business and Regional Systems
for Rockwell Collins. "Pro Line Fusion complements Bombardier's new Global Vision* flight deck with key technological advancements,
such as Synthetic-Enhanced Vision using the largest high-resolution displays available, a progressive human-machine interface,
and a broad array of new communications, navigation and surveillance capabilities. Additionally, Pro Line Fusion incorporates
information management technologies that ease many maintenance and flight operational tasks, improving efficiency.
"All these elements will make it easier for Global Express XRS and Global 5000 jet pilots to do their job, while providing
a smoother ride for passengers and delivering improved efficiency to flight operations," said Helgeson.

Some of the standard features on the Global Vision flight deck include: four high resolution 15-inch diagonal LCD displays
working in concert with the HGS-6000 Head-Up Guidance Systems (HGS®); Synthetic-Enhanced Vision; MultiScan™ Weather Radar; Advanced human machine interface including graphical flight planning
capability; dual Integrated Flight Information Systems (IFIS) with electronic charts and enhanced maps; Aeronautical Telecommunications
Network (ATN) and Future Air Navigation System Controller-Pilot Data Link Communication (FANS CPDLC); triple Advanced Flight
Management Systems with Wide Area Augmentation System Localizer Precision Vertical (WAAS/LPV) and Required Navigation Performance
(RNP) capabilities; and a Traffic Surveillance System with Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) capabilities.
In addition to features available at entry into service, Bombardier and Rockwell Collins have jointly planned a series of
technology updates as the Air Traffic Control infrastructure evolves. These include advanced display and guidance features
