Transport Canada to update Citation II fleet with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 IDS

ORLANDO (October 16, 2006) - Transport Canada, Aircraft Services Directorate will be updating its fleet of nine Citation II aircraft with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Integrated Display System (IDS). The installation will be completed by Mid-Canada Mod Center / Kitchener Aero Avionics of Toronto, Ontario. Supplemental type certification (STC) will be performed by March 2007.

"This integration also enables Transport Canada to benefit from a system that is designed to accommodate changes in future aviation requirements."

The Pro Line 21 IDS upgrade will feature three 8-inch by 10-inch liquid crystal displays, turbulence weather radar and Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS). Additionally, Transport Canada will be adding Rockwell Collins Flight Management System, the Pro Line 21 CNS radio suite, and Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) II.
