Rockwell Collins receives a $14M contract to provide additional displays for the USAF F-15E

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (November 17, 2003) - Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL), a leader in advanced display technology, announced today that it has received $14M in contracts from Robins AFB to upgrade the display package for the cockpits of existing USAF F-15E aircraft.

Under these contracts Rockwell Collins' Kaiser Electronics business will deliver 178 five-inch Flat Panel Color Displays (FPCD) starting in January 2005 with deliveries concluding in April 2006. The five-inch FPCD will replace the current CRT-based display in existing F-15E aircraft. The Active Matrix Liquid Crystal display (AMLCD)-based display is planned to be installed in both USAF and international F-15 aircraft. This is an initial production award that is expected to grow eventually to more than 750 displays for the USAF F-15E upgrade program. Rockwell Collins is also working with Boeing to integrate this FPCD into the F-15K Korean aircraft.

In 2001, Rockwell Collins was awarded the design and development contract to replace the CRT-based display in all new production F-15E aircraft.

"This contract is an endorsement of our display system's capability as a retrofit display, as well as for future or new production F-15 aircraft," stated Bob Gabel, director, Kaiser Electronics production programs, "It also builds on our long relationship with Boeing as an innovative supplier of cockpit display system solutions to the warfighter."

Rockwell Collins is a leader in the design, production and support of communications and aviation electronics solutions for government and commercial customers worldwide. Additional information is available at www.rockwellcollins.com.
