Rockwell Collins Contributes to September 11th Fund

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (September 18, 2001) - Rockwell Collins and its employees are donating $100,000 to the "September 11th Fund" through the United Way of East Central Iowa. This fund was established by the United Way of America and the Council on Foundations and serves as a common relief fund for a wide range of agencies providing disaster services across the country related to the recent events in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania.

"It is important for us to stand together in times of need," said Clay Jones, president and chief executive officer of Rockwell Collins. "In addition to this contribution, the Rockwell Collins family of employees and retirees send their thoughts, prayers and best wishes to the families of the victims of these attacks."

According to the United Way, contributions will be used to help respond to the immediate and longer-term needs of the victims, their families, and communities affected. As United Way and The Community Trust are underwriting all administrative costs, 100 percent of each contribution will go towards these efforts.

If individuals would like to donate to the September 11th Fund, they may do so by contributing online at http://september11fund.org , calling 1-800-710-8002, or by contacting their local United Way chapter.
