Rockwell Collins Appoints Barry Abzug, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (October 01, 2001) - Dr. Barry Abzug has joined Rockwell Collins as senior vice president, Corporate Development. He reports to Clay Jones, president and chief executive officer, and is expected to be elected an officer for the corporation.

Abzug’s responsibilities in the newly created position include working with the Rockwell Collins businesses in identifying and evaluating new growth initiatives, acquisitions, joint ventures and alliances. He will also be responsible for investor relations and communications.

Abzug most recently served as president and general manager of the Aerospace and Communications division of ITT Industries where he was responsible for business development, program management, engineering, operations, finance, Six Sigma and human resources. He has a doctorate in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York.
