Defense Logistics Agency Awards Rockwell Collins Aviation Services
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (February 12, 2003) - Rockwell Collins Aviation Services (CAS) was recently awarded the Defense Logistics Agency Readiness Support Award for large
businesses. CAS was nominated by the Defense Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio. The award was presented by Vice Admiral Keith
W. Lippert, director of the Defense Logistics Agency, at a ceremony in Springfield, Va.
CAS was recognized by the Defense Logistics Agency for its dedication to warfighter readiness by "above and beyond" responses
to materials requirements, expedites and customer service. Additionally, CAS' adoption of Lean principles and unwavering commitment
to customer satisfaction were cited as benchmarks within the industry.
The Defense Logistics Agency Readiness Support Award is presented to businesses that have provided extraordinary customer
support, service or product directly to a crisis situation.
