Rockwell Collins presents Allegis Group Services with 2009 President’s Award at supplier conference
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (March 26, 2009) - Allegis Group Services (AGS), headquartered in Hanover, Md., was recognized as Rockwell Collins' top supplier when it was
presented with the 2009 President's Award by Jeff Moore, senior vice president of Operations, during the company's Annual
Supplier Conference.
For 26 years, Rockwell Collins' President's Award has served as an acknowledgement of significant contributions made over
the past year based upon quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead time and customer service. Additional criterion
for the award includes responsiveness, commitment to technology development and innovation, and whether the supplier meets
Rockwell Collins' Lean objectives.
"Superior supply chain management requires a team effort and AGS has embraced this concept," said Roger Weiss, vice president
of Material and Supply for Rockwell Collins.
This is the first year that Rockwell Collins has awarded the President's Award to a supplier of Indirect Services. AGS provides
contract labor, and by focusing on better visibility to spend and best practices, assisted in significantly reducing overall
costs to Rockwell Collins in 2008.
AGS also received the Indirect Supplier of the Year Award from Rockwell Collins.
With a supplier base of more than 10,000, the Supply Chain organization at Rockwell Collins strives to help the company remain
competitive by keeping costs at a minimum. An industry leader in supply chain management, Rockwell Collins received Purchasing
