Pro Line 21 IDS Options
A key benefit to Pro Line 21 IDS is the wide variety of options that can be added as you choose to expand on the core set of capabilities. An exciting new option is the engine indication displays that are integrated into the display eliminating the old round dial engine indicators from the dash. The result is an attractive modern avionics flight deck.

Engine Indication (731 Family of Engines)
Rockwell Collins continues to bring new functionality and features to Pro Line 21 IDS, including configurable Engine Indication, which is offered as an option. Rockwell Collins' experience with engine manufacturers and our ability to integrate third party systems enables Engine Indication to be a vital function of the Pro Line 21 IDS product line. The information display includes N1, N2, inter-stage turbine temperature, fuel flow, oil temperature and pressure.

Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS)
The Rockwell Collins IFIS delivers key capabilities including electronic charting, graphical weather and enhanced map overlays. Installation of a dual system (two MFDs and two FSUs) brings integrated class three Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) capability to the flight deck, allowing operators to transition to "paperless" operations.

The system's electronic charting functionality provides operators with approaches, SIDs, STARs, airport diagrams and NOTAMS. Operators have ready access to the appropriate charts for the flight plan and aircraft position may be viewed on geo-referenced charts, improving situational awareness. The charts are enhanced through proprietary graphics and color pallets designed to improve readability, especially at night.

Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS)
Rockwell Collins AHS-1000 Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) is designed to replace previous-generation analog and iron gyro systems. It requires no air data sensor input, eliminates costly aircraft re-wiring and offers operators a cost-effective upgrade solution from traditional iron gyros and AHRS technology. In addition, the AHS-1000 is smaller and lighter, and offers increased performance and reduced maintenance costs.

By using digital quartz Micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensors in place of conventional spinning wheel gyros, the AHS-1000 delivers significantly greater reliability than traditional gyros and attitude and heading technology. It also withstands extreme environments involving high roll rates and vibration.

Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS)
Part of Rockwell Collins' surveillance systems, the Rockwell Collins TCAS-4000 (TCAS II) combines proven advanced technology components, high density circuit designs and comprehensive self-test circuitry to provide exceptionally reliable operation.

Air Data Computer (ADC)
The Rockwell Collins Air Data System (ADS) brings air transport-class capabilities and accuracy to business aircraft. The digital ADS senses, computes and displays all parameters associated with aircraft movement through the atmosphere. It meets the demanding performance requirements of high-performance business jets and regional aircraft. The ADS is capable of being certified to comply with reduced vertical separation minimum requirements.

The system is totally digital from the Air Data Computer (ADC) to the air data displays on the instruments. It provides outputs for use by the Flight Control System, AHS Attitude Heading Reference System, EFIS Electronic Flight Instrument System and other interfacing aircraft systems.

Radio Tuning Units (RTUs)
Rockwell Collins is an industry leader in creating systems that reduce pilot workload by centralizing and simplifying the operation of essential functions. With the Rockwell Collins Radio Tuning Unit (RTU), operators are provided with an easy-to-use control interface, linking the flight crew with all available communication, navigation and air traffic control equipment functions. Individual control of VHF communication, VOR/ILS, DME, ADF, transponder, HF and TCAS is included. Designed for maximum performance, the RTU offers a unique combination of sophisticated capabilities designed to enhance both radio and operator effectiveness.

Navigation/Communication
The VHF-4000, NAV-4000/4500, ADF-4000 and VIR-4000 are members of the Pro Line 21 CNS family of products that feature state-of-the-art digital signal processing technology, digital audio, comprehensive maintenance software, a consolidated tuning/data/audio bus, software data loading and data link communications management. The Pro Line 21 CNS products set new standards for size, weight and power in the business and regional aircraft market. They retain the same form factor as the current Pro Line II and Pro Line 4 products but have reduced widths that allow size reductions of 40 to 70 percent and weight reductions of 35 to 55 percent. These products also are designed and tested to meet the more stringent DO-160D environmental requirements for helicopters and composite body aircraft.

TWR-850 Turbulence Weather Radar
The TWR-850 Turbulence Weather Radar offers safety-enhancing features such as turbulence detection, heavy rainfall rate emphasis and indications of areas of radar attenuation (radar shadow). Together, these systems give crews the time they need to select the smoothest, most efficient routes.
