Pro Line 21 IDS

 |
Pro Line 21 IDS core display system is comprised of three main
elements - Pro Line 21 Displays, the DIU-3010 and the WXR-84X weather
radar system that seamlessly interface with existing aircraft sensors
and radios. The IDS system has a minimum of two displays consisting of
the primary flight display (PFD) and the companion multifunction
display (MFD). The PFD combines attitude, altitude, air speed and
heading references with an easy-to-read graphical interface. The MFD
enables the pilot to quickly reference layers of information pertinent
to strategic decision making.
DIU-3010 Display Interface Unit
The Rockwell Collins configurable DIU-3010 Display Interface Unit is the backbone
of the Pro Line 21 IDS. The lightweight unit converts digital and
analog data from existing air data, AHRS, radio and autopilot sensors
into ARINC 429 for interface with Pro Line 21's large graphics-capable
LCD displays.
Pro Line 21 Displays
Pro Line 21 IDS integrates next-generation Pro Line 21 liquid crystal
displays and graphics technology with existing sensors, radios, flight
management systems and autopilots - without the full expense
associated with a major retrofit. Replacing older-generation equipment
with modern displays increases the aircrafts value and provides
increased situational awareness and positions the aircraft for future
airspace requirements.
Weather Radar
The Rockwell Collins family of solid-state weather radars achieves all
of its industry-leading performance with a lightweight, 30-watt
transmitter instead of the kilowatt-class transceivers used by radar
systems with comparable features and capabilities designed decades
ago.
With weather detection ranges of up to 320 miles and available
Doppler™ turbulence detection at ranges of up to 50 miles, Rockwell
Collins weather radars give you the time you need to select the
smoothest, most-efficient routes around dangerous weather systems.
