From Clay Jones An optimistic forecast In recent years, Rockwell Collins employees around the world have felt the effects of Mother Nature's wrath. Whether dealing with the aftermath of hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires or earthquakes, our employees have always responded with concern and support – all the while working to ensure that our operations continue. When much of Eastern Iowa and Cedar Rapids recently succumbed to historic and unprecedented floodwaters, employees across our enterprise once again responded with overwhelming support. Together, we have overcome many obstacles. But – as I stated in my recent video to our employees – we have much to be optimistic about, and we have many opportunities for future growth. Our recent acquisition of Athena Technologies, which you can read about in this issue of Horizons , is one example of how we are moving into new market segments to position us for continued growth. I'm extremely proud of the people of Rockwell Collins, and I look forward to accomplishing even more as we move into the future. Clay Jones Chairman, President and CEO
