Coralville employees receive praise during year-end celebration
A celebratory dinner helped employees at Rockwell Collins in Coralville, Iowa, close fiscal year 2007 with a bang. Employees from all three of the production facility's shifts gathered recently and were served by several senior leaders and even some customers.
"It was a beautiful event and the best meal yet," said Shelley Anderton, a senior assembly operator in Coralville who joined our company in January 1991. "They simply out-do themselves every year."
Tablecloths and seasonal decorations added to the ambience, and various drawings and giveaways contributed toward the excitement. But it was the words of praise regarding the quality of work accomplished in Coralville that stood out in employees' minds.
"It's nice to get recognized for what you do and to receive that pat on the back," said Anderton. "The appreciation is always there even during the tough years."
Anderton noted that the facility really excelled this year and employees plan to reach for new heights in FY'08. In fact, individual and facility-wide goals have already been established.
"We challenge ourselves every year," said Anderton. "Next year, we'll do even better."
