DESCRIPTION
Developed for the USAF E-3()AWACS aircraft to provide a form-fit-function
replacement for the non-producible TE-237 CV-2830/AYC P-MOS Link 11 DTS Set
developed in the 1970s. The TE-237M utilizes the standard MDM-2202 Link 11
DTS and a 599M-1 adapter which interfaces the serial control of the MDM-2202
to the existing C-9529/A (E-3 AWACS) Control as well as the C-9078/ARQ-35
(E-2C Hawkeye) and other parallel existing installations. The 599M-1 provides
the +28VDC power for the MDM-2202 as well as it’s
own interface circuitry with application of off the shelf Power Supplies that
operate from the existing 115VAC, 400Hz power source.
The TE-237M provides the TE-237/237P MIL-STD-188-203-1A Conventional
Link 11 Waveform (CLEW) and in additional provides the Single Tone Link 11
Waveform (SLEW).
