KEY FEATURES/USER BENEFITS
Overview
BRITE View is a PC-based reach back, smart push-pull geospatial information
system that gives deployed users the ability to exploit at the SECRET level,
high resolution national reconnaissance satellite and theater airborne imagery
within minutes of collection; and real time SIGINT and "Blue Force"
tracking information.
BRITE View empowers an operator with capabilities to receive and graphically
display the real time SIGINT and "Blue Force" tracking data in
his AOI; and to command a remote imagery server to automatically disseminate
(push) to him, notifications (footprints) of the current imagery collected
in the area. The imagery footprints are overlaid with the SIGINT and "Blue
Force" data on the BRITE View map display. The user graphically selects
an area (chip) within the footprint of an image of interest and commands the system
to reach back to the server and pull the chip of imagery from the image of
interest. The server automatically extracts, and pushes the chip (now at
the SECRET level) to the user. The chip is delivered to the user in a standard
NGA NITF format, and can be displayed in a window or overlaid on a map with
real-time ELINT and "Blue Force" information. Features User-friendly Windows® graphical interface x Archived Imagery Retrieval Timely receipt of full resolution imagery chips Leverages available communications networks Uses NGA standard map products Immediate notification of precise area of imagery coverage
with real time SIGINT and "Blue Force" tracking situational awareness
BENEFITS Easy to learn and operate; minimum training required Minimum communications bandwidth required to receive NRT imagery Flexible use of DoD communications systems User familiarity with map contexts; facilitates standardization Intuitive graphical multi-INT visual fusion for enhanced situational
awareness
SOFTWARE CAPABILITIES Graphically displays National, Commercial and Airborne Image
collection notifications in near real time as overlays on a map Allows a user to graphically request an image chip and query
for archive imagery Displays NGA Digital Maps - ADRG, CADRG,
CIB (all resolutions) as background Displays Vector Map Data Graphically displays narrow band IBS SIGINT (previously TDDS
and TIBS) data and generates graphical overlays Displays NITF 2.0 imagery Displays IBS data when used with tactical UHF receive suites:
e.g. JTT, CTT, SUCCESS, MATT and BMATT
EXCLUSIVE FEATURES Extensive map manipulation functions ICON editor; allows for flexible sizing, alerting, coloring
and message association Basic overlay capabilities - text annotation,
line/circle drawing, shape drawing, simple measuring tool Displays Shape, tab delimited, and FalconView Threat files
as overlays Overlay manager Easy cut and paste of map view or image view to standard Office
documents Flexible image save formats - NITF,
JPEG, Windows BMP Basic image manipulation functions: rotation, contract/intensity
adjustment, flip, pan and zoom Sophisticated message handling capabilities including geographic,
temporal and message type filtering On line help and tutorial
