OVERVIEW
The programmable MODEM combines advanced technologies in real-time processor
architectures with highly efficient signal processing algorithms to produce
a cost-effective digital data communications terminal. It is designed for
controlled network operation in a Link 11 (NATO STANAG 5511) or Tadil-A (MIL-STD-188-203-1)
communications network, and to be compliant with Link 22 (NILE) specifications. MDM-2x02N products can be delivered with Link 11 waveform only, Link
22 waveform only or both.
Link 11 Data Terminal Sets
As a Data Terminal Sets, it provides all required configuration and
network administration controls, as well as network and equipment monitoring
and message error detection and correction. Since development of the first
data terminal over thirty years ago, Rockwell has progressively transitioned
state-of-the-art technology to quality communication products. The data terminal
is designed for growth capability to meet emerging global communication requirements.
Current product offerings include the MDM-2002, MDM-2202, and TE-237M.
The TE-237M uses the MDM-2202 as its main component, but provides the physical
and electrical interface of the obsolete TE-237 and TE-237P series. The TE-237M
will fit directly into any existing TE-237, TE-237P-3, or TE-237P-13 mount
and provide nearly the same functional capability. Check with Rockwell Collins
to determine if your existing data terminal set can be replaced by the TE-237M. L22 SIGNAL PROCESSING CONTROLLER (NILE)MDM-2x02 Product Line includes L22 SPC Capabilities (such as L22 FF
FF, UHF FF waveforms) in accordance with NILES specifications (Block Cycle
3). MDM-2x02 succeed to all tests performed by NILE PMO and WTD-81.
