Rockwell Collins provides visors specially adapted for JHMCS. These visors are ready to install on the JHMCS Helmet Assembly and have all of the coatings and fittings to display the JHMCS symbology and attach to the Display Unit and Helmet shell. The visors require personalized trimming to match the users mask and face contour.

Visors come in various types depending upon use including a tinted visor for day use and a clear visor for night use. Specifically visors come in Clear, 15%, 25%, 40% grey and High Contrast configurations. Visors fit any size JHMCS Helmet Shell.

Rockwell Collins provides Clear, 25% and 40% grey visors for JHMCS as above with factory pre-fit visor tangs. The factory pre-fit tangs eliminate the need to field-fit the visor tangs.

Rockwell Collins provides the Display Unit as part of the JHMCS system. The Display Unit contains all of the electrical, electromagnetic and optical components needed to receive information from the JHMCS Electronics Unit, display symbology onto the JHMCS visor and record the sortie. The Display Units mounts to the JHMCS helmet shell via the Universal Connector and is design for one handed installation or removal (blind in-flight mount) . The display unit fits any size JHMCS Helmet Shell.

Rockwell Collins provides the JHMCS Helmet Assembly as part of the JHMCS System. The Helmet Assembly is an assembled, modified Helmet shell and consists of the Helmet Shell, Universal Connector, Upper Helmet Vehicle Interface (HVI) cabling, ear phones/cups, microphone cabling, energy and comfort liners, and visor tang receptacles. The Helmet Assembly is ready to accept a Display Unit and appropriate cockpit cabling for use, however pilot fitting of the helmet and visor need to be accomplished first to ensure that the system fits the pilot and is comfortable. The Helmet Assembly comes in three sizes based upon the helmet shell, medium, large and extra large.

The Upper HVI cabling is the cabling needed to connect the JHMCS Display Unit to the aircraft cabling. The Upper HVI connects to the Display Unit at the Universal Connector and is routed along the Helmet Shell behind the pilot’s neck and secured to the chest area of the flight suit. The Upper HVI terminates with a Quick Disconnect at the aircraft-mounted Lower HVI and contains a Helmet Release Connector for redundant safety upon pilot ejection. Upper HVI’s come in different lengths to ensure proper pilot fit and routing to the aircraft Lower HVI.

Rockwell Collins provides the Cockpit unit as part of the JHMCS system. The cockpit unit provides power to the pilot helmet mounted system and is mounted in the cockpit of the aircraft.

Rockwell Collins provides a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) as a spare part for the JHMCS Display Unit. The Cathode Ray Tube can be installed as a replacement for a worn CRT in any JHMCS Display Unit.

Rockwell Collins provides a CRT Assembly Kit as a spare part for the JHMCS system. The CRT Assembly Kit contains fastening hardware used in installing a replacement CRT into the Display Unit.

Rockwell Collins provides a Maintenance Container for the JHMCS system. The Maintenance Container is used to store and transport the pilot helmet mounted JHMCS components.

Rockwell Collins provides the helmet shell as a spare part for the JHMCS system. The Helmet Shell is a modified HGU-55P designed to accept the Display Unit, Upper HVI cabling, Oxygen Mask, and Visor. Helmet shells come in three standard sizes based upon the HGU-55P standard sizes. These are Medium, Large and Extra Large sizes. Although the shell sizes were designed to meet the needs of practically all of the pilot population, each pilot needs to have the shell specially fit to achieve maximum comfort. TPL or Zeta Comfort liners are used to properly fit the shell to the user. All shells come in standard grey.

Rockwell Collins provides a Universal Connector Cover as a spare part for the JHMCS system. The UC Cover is a protective cover for the Universal Connector on the helmet.

Rockwell Collins provides a molded DU Interconnect Mount as a spare part for the JHMCS system to provide the mechanical interface to the DU and to secure the UHVI to the Helmet Shell.
