EFFECTIVITY AND PRICING

WARRANTY

Rockwell Collins agrees to replace, without charge, any service part which are defective as to design, workmanship or material provided:

  1. Notice of the claimed defect is provided to the Customer Response Center within one (1) year from date of shipment and goods are returned in accordance with RockwellCollins instructions.
  2. Equipment, accessories, electron tubes, cathode ray tubes (CRTs) and batteries not manufactured by Rockwell Collins, or from Rockwell Collins designees, are subject to only such adjustments as Rockwell Collins may obtain from the supplier thereof.
  3. Failure of the equipment to operate in a normal and proper manner due to exposure to any environmental condition in excess of those published in the equipment specification shall not be deemed a defect within the meaning of this clause.

This warranty is void if the material is altered or repaired by anyone other than a Rockwell Collins authorized repair facility without the prior permission of Rockwell Collins. No other warranties, expressed or implied, shall be applicable to any material sold hereunder, and the foregoing shall constitute the Buyers' sole right and remedy under the agreements contained in this paragraph. In no event shall RockwellCollins have any liability for consequential or incidental damages, or for loss, damage, or expense directly or indirectly arising from the use of the products, or any inability to use them either separately or in combination with other equipment or materials, or from any other cause.


DEFECTIVE MATERIAL

The following information is required before defective material will be authorized for return under terms of the guarantee

  • Part Number
  • Part Name
  • Quantity
  • Sales Order, Purchase Order and/or Delivery/Packlist Number
  • Customer Name and Address
  • Detailed Description of Defect


WRONG SHIPMENT

Any discrepancy between material ordered and material received must be reported to Rockwell Collins Services within five working days after receipt. Wrong parts can be returned at our expense for full credit or replacement.


MINIMUM ORDER VALUE

Rockwell Collins Service Parts has a minimum order value policy.

Minimum order value is exclusive of shipping or freight charges, export fees and applicable taxes. The following purchase order requirements merit associated minimum order value.

RE-QUOTING ON QUOTES OR ORDERS

Rockwell Collins Service Parts reserves the right to revise prices, with customer consent, on material previously quoted should it be determined, during procurement or production, that extenuating circumstances preclude the material from being offered at the original quoted price. This includes, but is not limited to, minimum quantity buys imposed on Rockwell Collins and/or additional charges that may be applied due to unforeseen tooling costs.


CANCELLATION FEES

There may be a cancellation charge, up to 100% of the order value, should your order be canceled more than 10 days after order placement. The cancellation charge for custom buy or build materials will be determined at the time of cancellation, based on the amount of RCI investment.


RETURN FOR CREDIT

Authorization is required from The Customer Response Center before any materials will be accepted for return. In order for products to be considered for return, the following conditions must be met other than defective or wrong material shipments.

  1. The products must have been shipped from RockwellCollins within the past 30 days.
  2. The products must meet Rockwell Collins acceptance and inspection criteria.
  3. They must be in good and unused condition.
  4. Final inspection tags must be included with all subassembly items.

If authorization is granted to return subject parts, full credit, less 20 percent processing fee, will be issued for material ordered in error or returned for customer convenience.


RESPONSE POLICY

The Customer Response Center will respond to requests within the following time periods:



Request Type Response Time (from time of receipt)

2. Quotes 24 Hours 
3. General Inquiries 48 Hours 


LEAD TIME AND SHELF STOCK

Lead times shown in the catalog, or via any other electronic format, are contingent upon reasonable quantities ordered and stock availability.


PRICING

In our continuous efforts to control annual price escalations, Rockwell Collins reserves the right to apply the following fees, effective January 1, 2009:

  1. Special Packaging and/or Labeling Request
    The customer will be advised when such fees will be applied and will have the opportunity to approve the fee or cancel the packaging and/or labeling request. If approved by the customer, this fee will be added to the customer's purchase order as an additional line item.
  2. FAA 8130-3 Reprint Requests
    A $50 fee for each FAA 8130-3 reprint request. The customer will be required to provide a purchase order at the time of the request.
  3. Price Change if Material is Requested in Future Catalog Years
    Rockwell Collins reserves the right to update pricing if the customer requests delivery in future catalog years. The customer will be notified at least 90 days in advance.
  4. Delivery Change/Expedite Requests
    Ten percent (10%) of the order value may be applied to delivery change requests inside of standard or catalog lead-time. The customer will be advised when such fees will be applied and will have the opportunity to approve the fee or cancel the request. This fee will be added to the customer's purchase order as an additional line item. For expedites, this does not guarantee quicker delivery.
  5. Open Orders Reports
    The customer will be advised when fees will be applied and will have the opportunity to approve the fee or cancel the report request. The customer will be required to provide a purchase order at the time of the request. Order Status reports can also be obtained from our eStore. The eStore will provide a listing of all open orders, regardless of how the orders were placed with Rockwell Collins.

Pricing information for EMS has been included in the 2009 Rockwell Collins Services Catalog. EMS is located in Irvine, California designs, develops, and manufactures aircraft control systems such as pilot controls and Secondary Surface Controls like flaps, slats and horizontal stabilizers trim actuators. EMS Catalog is reflected at List Price.

Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul

Rockwell Collins Electromechanical Systems overhaul and repair facilities has been certified by Federal Air Agency certificate # YF3R995L. Rockwell Collins EMS shall furnish customers with evidence of such certification upon request.
