OVERVIEW
The Pro Line 21 IDS makes it easy to provision or plan for future functionality.
Pro Line 21 IDS interfaces with existing Collins autopilots providing a flexible
retrofit solution that is quick and cost effective. Integrating next generation
displays (Pro Line 21 8 x 10 AMLCD) and graphics technology with existing
sensors, radios, flight management systems and autopilots, Pro Line 21 IDS
offers an upgrade without the expense normally associated with major retrofits.
DESCRIPTION
The Pro Line 21 IDS is designed to be a flexible display retrofit solution.
The major system components include 8 x 10 AMLCD Displays, DIU-3010 (Display
Interface Unit), Display Control Panel (DCP) and Course Heading Panel (CHP). The AFD-3010 display (8 x 10 AMLCD) provides Air Data, ADI, HSI, TCAS,
Collins Weather Radar and EGPWS on the PFD. The AFD-3010E is used for the
MFD. The DIU-3010 provides the interface between existing aircraft sensors,
radios and Collins Auto Pilot. The DIU-3010 is the backbone of the Pro Line
21 IDS System. The DIU-3010 converts CSDB digital and analog data from existing
air data, AHRS, radio, FMS and autopilot sensors into ARINC 429 for interface
with Pro Line 21 AMLCD Displays The DCP and CHP provide the primary interface and integration management
between the pilot and displays. The DCP and CHP permits the pilot to select
course and heading, sequence through the active navigation source data, choose
