DESCRIPTION
The IDS-7000 utilizes 8-inch, color LCD and/or CRT displays to provide
EFIS and EICAS functions in the 747-400 cockpit. Symbol generation and display
functions, which previously required two separate units, have been integrated
into a single unit. In addition, this single unit can be used interchangeably
for each of the six EFIS and EICAS display positions in the panel. The IDS-7000 integrated display system consists of the following equipment
types.

Flight deck mounted, LCD based 8-inch display
unit. Used for primary flight display, navigation display, engine indicating

systems, the central maintenance system and the display units. (Shipset contains

SOFTWARE
This software is compatible with all IDS-7000 systems on 747-400 Aircraft
with DU-7000, Collins part number 622-8588-105, EIU-7000,
Collins part number 622-8589-104, and DU-7001, Collins
part number 822-1714-100 hardware installed. The new loadable

Orders for the application software can be placed with Rockwell Collins
Technical Publications Department, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498-0001. The price
for the software is based on a per platform basis. The disks are certified
and serialized, and are made from original computer master data files to ensure
the highest integrity as required for this flight application. The software
will be provided on 3-1/2 inch disks compatible with ARINC 615 data loaders.
