Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System

DESCRIPTION

The EICAS-700 engine indication and crew alerting system is an all solid-state, color display system used to display engine data and caution and warning messages for accurate and rapid interpretation by the 757 or 767 flight crew. Primary and secondary engine parameters, aircraft systems status, and maintenance data may all be selected by the crew or displayed automatically as necessary.

The EICAS-700 engine indication and crew alerting system consists of the following equipment types. Alternate status of the EAP processor may be required in specific aircraft installations. Consult your local Collins representative if you have questions.


TYPICAL SYSTEM

Type Part Number Description 
DSP-701A 622-6089-102 Display Select Panel (Boeing PN S242N701-206). Provides display mode selection, brightness/balance control, computer source selection, manual thrust reference set, and maximum indication reset. 
EAP-703 822-1033-100 Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting Computer (Boeing PN S242N701-1001). Performs signal interface, engine data conversion, display processing, symbol generation, and logic/control interface functions for the EICAS-700 system. Combines functionality to support all Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft. Software data-load capability to support future changes. 
EDU-776D 622-7999-003 Electronic Display Unit (Boeing PN S242T404-611). Provides multicolor CRT displays of primary and secondary engine data, and warning and caution messages. (Shipset contains 2 each.) 

Software
This software is compatible with all EICAS-700 systems on 757 or 767 Aircraft with EAP-703 (Collins part number 822-1033-100) hardware installed.

Orders for the application software can be placed with Rockwell Collins Technical Publications Department, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498-0001. The price for the software is based on a per platform basis. The disks are certified and serialized, and are made from original computer master data files to ensure the highest integrity as required for this flight application. The software will be provided on 3-1/2 inch disks compatible with ARINC 615 data loaders.
