EFIS-700: Electronic Flight Instrument System

The EFIS-700 utilizes digital technology and CRT display units to provide HSI and ADI functions in the 737 (-300/400/500 models), 757, and 767 cockpit. Data relating to aircraft attitude and horizontal situation are displayed, concurrent with map and weather radar data when desired. The EFIS-700 system also displays the flight director commands and the autopilot flight director modes of operation.

The EFIS-700 electronic flight instrument system consists of the following equipment types. An alternate status of the EFIC-701 control may be required in specific aircraft installations. Consult the equipment descriptions in this section and your local Collins representative.

The EFIP-701E unit has the capability to be reprogrammed by means of an ARINC 615 data loader, using software which is available from Collins. Contact your local Collins representative for more information.
