DESCRIPTION
The
Rockwell Collins DME-900 gives you unparalleled scanning performance,
while actually decreasing ground station loading. A highly efficient parallel
ranging technique allows the DME-900 to perform less than 15
interrogations per second, half the allowed average. And only two power output
devices are required to achieve a 700-watt nominal
power output. The DME-900 synthesizer/driver operates at the L-band transmit
channel frequency, significantly reducing parts count and circuit complexity. The DME-900 has been designed to provide highly accurate
distance data outputs in all modes of operation. Error sources in the interrogator
are identified and reduced to the lowest level. In addition, optimum methods
in all modes of operation reduce naturally occurring noise contained in the DME/TACAN signal. A comprehensive self-test monitor is capable of determining its operational
status to a better than 99% confidence
level. The DME-900 Receiver meets all essential level HIRF requirements,
provides improved power interrupt capability, and enhanced BITE interface
for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. | DME-900 | 822-0329-001 | DME Interrogator. 320 nautical
