DESCRIPTION
The CMCS-7000, in conjunction with the Multipurpose Control
and Display Unit (MCDU), the Integrated Display System (IDS) and the Multi-Input
Cockpit Printer, provides a central point for maintenance functions including:
flight deck initiation and display of individual subsystem bite and functional
tests, selection and display of maintenance messages corresponding to equipment
faults and fault history, and control of maintenance related display on the
IDS. The CMCS-7000 Central Maintenance Computer System consists
of the following equipment types.
TYPICAL SYSTEM | CMC-7000 | 622-8592-105 | Central Maintenance Computer (Boeing
PN S242U901-105). Provides processing capability and interfaces to other subsystems
necessary to perform fault storage, message formatting and bite/functional
test of other aircraft subsystems. The -105 version provides for on-board
loading of 685-2270-012 or later application software, and enhanced ACARS
capability. (Shipset contains 2 each.) |
SOFTWARE
This software is compatible with all CMCS-7000 systems on 747-400 aircraft
with CMC-7000 Collins part number 622-8592-105, hardware installed. The new
loadable software can be installed on this CMCS-7000 system. | CMC-7000 | 685-2270-012 (CMC-7000

software is applicable to all engine-type airplanes. It provides updated fault
codes and IDS-7000 Loadable OPCs. |
Orders for the application software can be placed with Rockwell Collins,
Technical Publications, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498-001.
The price for the software is based on a per platform basis. The disks are
certified and serialized, and are made from original computer master files
to ensure the highest integrity as required for this flight application. The
software will be provided on 3.5-inch disks compatible with ARINC 615 data

Notes and helps editor is a software package which is required in order to
customize existing notes and helps messages and to create new messages within
the airline data base section of the CMC-7000 Central Maintenance Computer
System (CMCS) in the Boeing 747-400. The-004 version is compatible with -011
