DESCRIPTION

Airshow 4200D is capable of supporting various multimedia applications, video, audio, text and graphics for display on the aircraft's cabin. In the cabin, real-time flight information is obtained from the aircraft's long range navigation and air data systems. This information is then processed, enabling the appropriate maps, points-of-interest and flight information pages to be displayed during flight. New maps, such as underwater ocean terrain and Hi-focus city views, have also been added. The systems placename database is richer and more complete than ever.

New hardware incorporated into the Airshow 4200D includes an 80GB ruggedized hard drive, a 1.0 GHz Pentium processor and dual ATI Radeon graphics processors, which provide the rich, multimedia graphics. In addition, a host of new input ports are available on the Airshow 4200D, making it easy to run diagnostics and system checks, or load new software.

The Airshow 4200D can be controlled by the IFE system or by using an Airshow Control Unit (ACU).

Optional software packages include the following:

  • Atlas Maps, Worldwide Map Coverage
  • Topographic Maps, Worldwide Map Coverage
