Rockwell Collins has designed, developed and produced compact and high
performance Head Up Displays (HUD) for both the commercial and military aerospace
markets. Leveraging that technology, Rockwell Collins has developed a Head
Up Display for use in military ground vehicles. The HUD allows the driver
to keep his or her vision forward-out the window thereby enhancing situational
awareness by presenting all critical data on a see-through combiner that is
daylight readable and dimmable for nighttime use. The HUD is full color and displays
test as well as images from a RGB or LVDS source.
