A great way to start... Students can obtain hands-on experience through an internship or co-op assignment. Rockwell Collins wants to develop a relationship
with high-potential individuals for prospective full-time employment. This is a great opportunity for students to experience
the work environment and culture of a leading edge company participating in meaningful and developmental work assignments
while pursuing an AS, BS, MS or PhD degree.
Co-op program summary... The Rockwell Collins Co-op Program provides alternating periods of work and study. Generally, an undergraduate co-op student
will work a minimum of three work sessions with one of those sessions being a spring or fall semester. MS and PhD students
may arrange individual schedules with respect to their academic calendar. Future sessions are dependent on previous performance
and current business conditions.

Lean Electronics SM – The way we do business
As a Co-op, you will be able to participate in Lean Electronics events. Lean Electronics is an enterprise-wide process improvement
philosophy designed to create a lean and agile company characterized by high quality, short cycle times, and cost-effective
processes and products. Our Lean Electronics initiative is based on two fundamental requirements:
- The first is to ensure that we remain externally focused on providing better value to our customers. We know if we achieve
this, our competitive position will likely improve as well.
- Secondly, to implement more than just Lean activity, but provide a mechanism to incorporate Lean Electronics into our business
philosophy. We have made great strides in making Lean Electronics a way of doing business every day at Rockwell Collins.
