With over 25 years of GPS experience, including the design and launch of the first ever GPS systems, Rockwell Collins has remained the unrivaled industry and world leader in the design, manufacture and delivery of Defence Global Positioning Navigation Solutions including radio navigation, Radio Direction Finders, Satellite Navigation and embedded technologies.

Rockwell Collins UK was selected to provide all GPS technologies for the UK MoD Bowman tactical communications programme. Rockwell Collins hand-held GPS receivers have provided the British Army with a secure navigation solution for many years.

Communicate

In today’s fast moving digital battlespace the ability to exchange data in a timely and secure manner is crucial. Military users in the air, on the ground and at sea utilise Rockwell Collins’ diverse communication system solutions across the full operational spectrum from 14 kHz to 44 GHz.

Rockwell Collins UK has been selected, together with prime contractor VT Communications, to supply the UK MoD’s Defence High Frequency Communications Service (DHFCS)

In addition Rockwell Collins UK was prime contractor to upgrade the Royal Air Force E-3D Sentry aircraft with a digital radio communication system and is also a key technology supplier to the Tactical Information Exchange Capability (TIEC) providing Link-16 and Improved Data Modem (IDM) data links, enabling both crucial Situational Awareness and greatly improved sensor to shooter capabilities for both platforms.
