Dennis W. Helgeson

Dennis (Denny) W. Helgeson is Vice President and General Manager — Special Assistant, Commercial Systems, for Rockwell Collins. In this role, he will assist with executive transitions in the Business and Regional Systems division until he retires in Fall 2008. Helgeson was named to this position in May 2008.

Previously, Helgeson served as Vice President and General-Manager for Business and Regional Systems, Commercial Systems for Rockwell Collins, where he was responsible for the business plans, program execution, and the profit and loss for Business and Regional Systems. He was named to the position in June 2002.

Helgeson also served as Vice President of Business Development for Government Systems, a position he was appointed to in July 2001. Helgeson joined the company in 1975 and held positions in product support, flight controls design engineering and production engineering management for the Air Transport Division. In 1997, he was appointed as Director of CNS/ATM Strategy Development to coordinate CNS/ATM and GATM requirements and strategies  across the company. Helgeson was promoted to Senior Director of Strategy Development for Rockwell Collins Government Systems in 1999. In this role he was responsible for long-term strategy development, competitive intelligence and mergers and acquisitions.

Helgeson graduated with an MBA from the University of Iowa and holds undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and computer science.
