Robert M. Chiusano

Robert (Bob) M. Chiusano is executive vice president and special assistant to the CEO of Rockwell Collins. Additionally, he is a corporate officer. He was named to the position in October 2006.

A 28-year employee, Chiusano served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Commercial Systems since May 2002. Previously, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Government Systems. During his career he has held program management and business development positions of increasing responsibility before being named vice president and general manager of the Government Systems business unit in 1996.

From 1984 through 1987, Chiusano participated in Rockwell Collins' High Potential Program and served in a variety of departments and positions through the global defense electronics organization.

A native of Schenectady, N.Y., Chiusano holds an AAS degree in mechanical engineering and a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the State University of New York. In addition, he received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa in 1984.

Chiusano has served as a business consultant in several capacities: the Iowa delegate on the U.S. Midwest - Japan Association, the Rockwell representative on the Korean Defense Industry Association and on the U.S./Korea Business Council.

Chiusano has been a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement (JA) and currently serves as a volunteer business consultant for local high schools. He also serves on the Board of Four Oaks (a community agency) and the University of Iowa Engineering Advisory Board along with being a member of the Coe College Board of Trustees. In addition, Chiusano has been both president and vice president of the Iowa Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
