Mission Statement and Goals
Rockwell Collins saw a need in the community, especially with the schools, to provide affordable technology. In addition to
providing computers, we believe students need the opportunity to learn first-hand about the workings of computers. The REACT
Center was created with the following goals.
- Provide computers for student use in schools
- Provide students and teachers with hands-on training in computer hardware
- Promote a greater awareness in students and teachers regarding the use of "real world" technology
- Serve as a clearinghouse for accepting excess computer equipment from area businesses and donating refurbished computers to
schools and other nonprofit community organizations
The REACT Center operates on the efforts of volunteers. We encourage educators to bring students to the center to build computers
for their own classrooms. Additionally, we serve as a training ground for educators to gain valuable computer skills.
